Wetting agents/
dispersants

Dispersion of pigments or particles is a critical process in various industrial fields such as paints, paper, ceramics, and electronic materials, significantly influencing the final product's performance. Wetting agents/dispersants are applied to the dispersion process to improve uniform particle distribution, viscosity control, and dispersion stability. In this dispersion process, wetting agents lower the pigment surface tension so that the resin solution can penetrate into (moisten) the pigment-aggregated structure quickly, and dispersants improve the stability of the dispersion material to prevent re-aggregation of pigment dispersion particles, moistened and mechanically pulverized. Wetting agents and dispersants reduce the contact angle by controlling the surface tension through the mechanism shown below to disperse particles and prevent re-aggregation. Our wetting agents/dispersants are currently used in many industrial fields to disperse various particles such as various organic and inorganic pigments, carbon, and CNTs.

Electronic
material

Wetting agents/dispersants are used for particle dispersion in various electronic material fields. These materials decrease the viscosity and increase the solid content of the slurry, which contributes to higher productivity, such as shortening process and drying time, improving quality, and reducing manufacturing and transportation costs.

Paint &
coating

Our wetting agents/dispersants are widely applied in paint, ink, and coating for inorganic pigments such as TiO2, talc, clay, carbon, and various colored organic pigment dispersion. Our wetting agents/dispersants reduce particle surface tension when manufacturing coating slurry to accelerate wetting and improve dispersion stability, thereby reducing dispersion viscosity, coloring power, storage properties, and the water resistance of the painted surface.

UV material

Various pigments and particles are also used for UV curable coating solutions. Wetting agents/dispersants can be used to decrease the viscosity and increase the content of the coating liquid and affect the color and reflectivity of the material by improving the leveling properties of the coating film. Our wetting agents/dispersants can be used for pigment dispersion of various coating solutions such as UV paints and inks.

Ceramic

In general, inorganic materials are used as the primary raw material for ceramics. These inorganic substances are used in a high concentration as a slurry with excellent size distribution and shape/purity/particle diameter control in terms of morphology and functionalization. San Nopco Korea's Wetting agents/dispersants for ceramics do not leave metal elements even after dispersion, help in the dispersion process and formation process of inorganic materials during ceramic production, and ensure high quality levels, contributing to overall quality and production efficiency.

Paper

The pulp, paper, and coating industries use calcium carbonate, Tio2, kaolin, clay, carbon black, and various other pigments as fillers and coloring materials. These pigments use suitable wetting agents and dispersants in the form of a slurry, depending on the pigment type and application. Our wetting agents/dispersants disperse particles to prevent agglomeration and sedimentation of the slurry and increase the content, contributing to higher productivity.
